Dull skin? Fine lines? Reduced radiance? Increased laxity? Sagging? Rough skin? Biostimulating injectables may be the answer.

Facial rejuvenation can be achieved using BIOSTIMULATING INJECTABLES which are advanced aesthetic treatments that stimulate the skin to generate collagen and elastin.
Unlike hyaluronic acid ‘dermal fillers’ which provide instant volumisation and hydration, the collagen biostimulants drive improvement in skin density, texture, hydration and elasticity.
The biostimulant that I use is HArmonyCa which uses calcium hydroxyapatite to promote skin remodelling, resulting in a natural appearing rejuvenation outcomes. HArmonyCa also contains some hyaluronic acid for an additional immediate lifting and hydrating effect which is fantastic for skin in the perimenopause, menopause and after weight loss.
HArmonyCa acts as a collagen stimulator- enhancing skin structure and skin quality.
You also may have heard of
- Polynucleotides (superficially injected DNA fragments) – cellular repair
- Skin Boosters (superficially injected hyaluronic acid) – hydration, improved skin texture, eg SkinVive
- Exosomes – carrier vesicles, micro needled, that contain nutrients that support cellular processes and cellular repair
Collagen biostimulation is very helpful for skin during the perimenopause, menopause and after weight loss. Collagen synthesis decreases by roughly 1% per year from the mid 20s and accelerates after menopause with falling oestrogen levels causing thinner skin, sagging and skin that is slow to repair. Biostimulators counter these issues by driving elastin and collagen production.
Women on HRT have around 10% greater skin thickness due to the presence of more dermal collagen and connective tissue. Smokers have more collagen depletion and the production of collagen is reduced due to the negative effect on the fibroblast (collagen synthesising) cells.
Combining treatments can also trigger the body’s regenerative processes to reach maximum potential outcomes.
If there is significant volume loss (as in weight loss patients) we may start there with Juvéderm hyaluronic acid dermal filler to restore the natural facial shape.
I often combine HArmonyCA biostimulation with SkinVive skin booster which delivers hyaluronic acid into the superficial layer of the skin to improve hydration, smoothness and radiance. SKinVIve lasts up to 9 months.
Combining skin biostimulation with
- Anti wrinkle injections (BOTOX) -works well to soften creases and lines.
- SkinPen Microneedling – works well to doubly stimulate collagen, improve texture and reduce pigmentation and scars. Add exosomes as the glide gel.
- Medical Grade Skincare– enhances skin health and regeneration
Long term great results often need a stacked treatment approach and depend upon clinical assessment and treatment planning which is based on
- Your general health
- A facial assessment
- The health of your skin (using the Observ skin scan)
Better general health means a better outcome when using biostimulators and so holistic health assessment and support (eg hormone management) will improve the result of a biostimulating skin treatment.
