What is lip filler made from?
I use Juvederm dermal filler, which is a collection of dermal fillers, made from hyaluronic acid (HA). Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the body and attracts water and provides hydration and volume.
Why do we use lip filler?
I use Juvederm dermal filler to plump lips, smooth wrinkles and restore lost facial volume.
As we age the lips lose their natural shape and volume and I use Juvederm Volift to correct those changes. Some patents have very thin lips naturally and I can add a small amount of filler to the lips and create a harmonisation of the facial profile.
Asymmetrical lips can be corrected also using small amounts of lip filler. Lips are so much softer after a lip filler treatment!
At Dr Trish Clinic I always perform a full facial assessment before any treatments including a skin scan using the Observ scanner and this helps to ensure that we get the best results from any injectable treatments including Botox and skin boosters like Skinvive or Redensity 1.
Can men have lip fillers?
All genders can, and do have lip filler!
How quickly will I see the results of lip filler?
You will see the results immediately and most people can return to their normal routine on the day of the procedure. Results will vary specific to each individual.
What does a ‘natural lip result’ mean?
Because Juvederm blends with your lip tissue, the lips will look and feel natural.
So, how long do lip fillers last?
I use Juvederm Volift for my lip patients at Dr Trish Clinc and this gives great results that last for up to 12 months.
In a mature lip, I may use Juvederm Volbella which is a little softer than Juvederm Volift and this also will last for up to 12 months.
Different fillers are designed with different properties.
