I would choose Botox over all other treatments!

Botox isn’t the first thing that I had ‘done’ but it is the single treatment that I would not want to be without.
Personal experience is that Botox makes me feel better about my appearance as my complexion is generally so much brighter. My skin is smooth and free of scars from frowning / expressing myself and I am 50 years old. My migraines are less frequent and my skin is more hydrated and plumper.
No cream can do what Botox does and it is safe.
I like to present myself well and want to age looking my best as I do. The debate over having any aesthetic treatments at all is another conversation and some people just don’t ‘approve’. What we do as individuals to make ourselves feel good is up to us and presenting yourself well is not something to be frowned upon!
Botox does NOT make us look ‘unnatural’ and this is a common worry.
Botox, (botulinum toxin type A) has become one of the most widely recognized and utilised treatments in aesthetic medicine and it is the most common cosmetic treatment that I carry out. It is not risk free but complications are rare.
BOTOX SHOULD ONLY BE CARRIED OUT BY A MEDICALLY TRAINED PROFESSIONAL. IN THE UK THERE ARE NO REGULATIONS FOR WHO CAN DO COSMETIC TREATMENTS. IT IS IMPORTANT TO CHECK CREDENTIALS BEFOREHAND AND DO NOT THINK ABOUT COST OVER SKILL AND PATIENT CARE.
Originally developed for therapeutic use in conditions such as muscle spasticity and migraine, the range of cosmetic uses is still evolving.
Botox works by temporarily blocking the nerve signals that cause muscles to contract. When injected into specific facial muscles, it relaxes them, thereby reducing the appearance of wrinkles and lines caused by repetitive facial movements. The effects typically last three to six months, after which repeat treatments are necessary to maintain results.
Botox is completely reversible and all effects will wear off. So, you need to keep up the treatment in order to keep the result!
I feel thankful for the opportunity to help patients with migraine / headache, jaw pain, dental pain and excessive sweating using Botox as well as the cosmetic uses. I really do see improvement in mental health and confidence with Botox use.
It is always really interesting when I am able to offer patients Botox for things that they did not realise were treatable for example,
- Chin flattening / dimpling – improving the facial profile
- Neck bands / turkey neck, smoothing the neck and contouring the jawline
- Jowls and lower facial sagging
- Bunny lines
- Gummy smile
